Awesome product with awesome staff
Fantastic experience, ordered the wrong size first and had to do a couple of exchanges. Spoke with Sue and was able to resolve my issues can’t say enough good words about their service and the jacket is very durable.
Awesome Heated canvas hooded jacket
Highly recommend. Good baggie fit in an xl which I normally wear which allows easy layering if needed. Heats up fast and great battery life. Suggest improvements would be more pockets especially inside big jacket why not take advantage of all the space to help keep edc items organized. Cheers Rob from Wisconsin
I just purchased this jacket, and so far I really like it. It's warm and comfortable. The canvas outer definitely blocks the wind. I bought a medium, which is what I typically wear and I have space under it to add layers. The only complaints I have is that the zipper sticks a bit when zipping up the jacket, and the battery only charges to 3 bars out of four. I'm not sure how long the battery is lasting cause it's just now starting to get cold where I live.
I currently own several Milwaukee M12 heated apparel purchased in 2020. Since i own multiple M12 battery tools, I opted to go the Milwaukee route on the heated jackets/hoodies. The negative is the location of the battery and realistically you are limited to a 2.0 size battery which impacts the duration of heat. The counter is that I have multiple M12 batteries and they charge quickly. I saw a review of this GW heated canvas jacket on YouTube. Based on the video, I decided to purchase the jacket. First impressions: 1. I ordered a size L jacket based on the sizing chart, my Milwaukee jackets are L and that is the size jacket I wear. They all fit very good. At times, I have worn a size XL. I found the GW jacket to be big for a size L. Seemed more like a size L.5. I feel the need to wear a sweat shirt under the jacket which then shields some of the heating. Buying online is a negative in regards to fit of a garment. 2. The jacket is well made of quality materials. Outer canvas mirrors what Carhartt jackets are made from 3. I have worn the jacket 3 times during my very early morning walks in temps between 25 and 37 F with a good wind. The jacket is amazing in wind blockage and heating. Very pleased with this 4. Battery location and performance is A+. The battery does take @6 hours to charge. I wore the jacket this morning on medium heat for 2 hours. Battery level still had 3 dots. This is superior to the Milwaukee jackets with a 2.0 AH battery. 5. Minor irritation is no zipper pulls. The zipper tab on the jacket is quite small and difficult to grab with heavy gloves on. Milwaukee provides zipper pulls on ALL of the zippers on their gear. Really GW ? You can't afford to add a 25 cent zipper pull. Back to the sizing of the jacket. The arm length is perfect. I am 6 ft 1 in weight 180. I feel that I almost swim in the jacket. The GW website I purchased the jacket from lists no telephone number. I did send an email concerning the sizing of the jacket and possible exchange for a size M. Been 2 days and no response to date. I guess we have come to expect the Amazon experience from all online vendors. The website states refund within 30 days of purchase, However, reading the FAQ states if not worn or washed. I read that after the fact of wearing the jacket. Plus the toe tag on the zipper states it must be attached for return of jacket. Seems a bit unreasonable to spend that amount of money on a jacket but you can't wear it to see if it meets your needs and satisfaction. I'm keeping the jacket (really have no choice..). Would I purchase again ? Based on performance and build quality - YES. However, based on sizing, probably not. My rating is really a 4.5 but you don't get that option. Hope this helps someone's buying decision.
